Lacrosse Recruits.com Logo!

Working with Luna Webs to create our logo was a very exciting project for Chris and me. We went back and forth and looked at a number of different options. We have settled on what you can see here. Colors can be interchanged, but we are very excited about this result!

Trip to Portland, Oregon...

On Sunday night, I am driving up to Portland, Oregon for a few days to meet with Brian Silcott, one of the founders of Rhino Lacrosse, and Jay Mayes, the Director of Corporate Partnerships for the NLL’s Portland Lumberjax.  Brian was an outstanding lacrosse player and the former head coach at Trinity College (one of Wesleyan’s in state rivals) Currently, he operates Rhino Lacrosse, the largest developmental lacrosse program in the state of Oregon.  Rhino Lacrosse has a number of boys and girls travel teams, leagues, and camps.   Brian also set me up with Jay Mayes.  Jay is the former Captain of the Gettysburg College men’s lacrosse team and is responsible for corporate promotions and marketing for the Lumberjax.  It will be a great opportunity to discuss lacrosserecruits.com and how our service will benefit lacrosse players in Oregon.

Weekly Update! Logo Designs, Page Layouts

This week we started working with Jeff Nicholson, a designer at Lunawebs, to develop our logo and welcome page layout for lacrosserecruits.com.  Much of our time was spent browsing thousands of lacrosse photographs, viewing our favorite websites for design ideas and working on functional page layouts.  We decided to use a picture of Kyle Harrison while he was at Johns Hopkins for our logo and Larry French's Jump and Bump photograph for our welcome page.  Matt and I are working on the terms to purchase the rights to Larry's photograph.  Hopefully negotiating with Larry will be easier than negotiating with landlords in New York!
